Curricular Requirements

Recommends 4 years of English including 1 year of Composition, 3-4 years of math including algebra, 2 years of social studies including 1 year of history, 2-3 years of laboratory science, 2 years of the same foreign language.

Can submit online at www.asbury.edu/apply.

Transcript or Academic Record

  • In lieu of high school transcript, homeschooled students can submit GED scores.
  • Must provide certification of completion of a homeschooling program, and must document all course work completed.

Standardized Testing Requirements

ACT or SAT accepted.

Required Application Materials (recommendations, essays, etc.)

Other Considerations (such as documenting participation in extracurricular activities, etc.)

Other Information for homeschoolers

  • Presidential Scholarships are also open to homeschooled students, but GPAs and class rank are not considered. For homeschooled students, only the SAT/ACT scores would be considered.
  • Of the class of 2011, 10 percent were homeschooled.

Student athletes (intercollegiate) must also verify successful completion of a home- schooling program.
